How to invite the President of the United States to your wedding

How to invite the President and Mrs. Obama to your wedding is as simple as addressing the envelope correctly.

Please understand that they will probably not attend or even RSVP, but you may receive a congratulatory letter from the White House Greeting Office.

Your invitation should be sent at least 6 weeks in advance. Be sure to use the address below:

The Honorable Barack Obama and Mrs. Obama
The White House
Greetings Office Rm. 39
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington, DC 20500

The White House Greeting Office answers as many invitations as possible. Sending the invitation as early as possible will increase the likelihood of receiving a response.

If you are a British citizen you can invite Queen Elizabeth II in hopes of receiving a congratulatory letter. The address for her secretary is:

The Secretary to Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II
Buckingham Palace
London, England SW1A 1AA

Only British citizens will receive a reply.

Either one would be a unique keepsake for your memoirs. Have fun and let me know if you receive a crock pot from Michelle! :)
Happy Wedding Wishes!
